Xi’an East Station is a vital link of the Baotou-Haikou Line and one of the largest railway stations undergoing planning in China. When completed, it will significantly shorten the travel distance between Xi’an and other major cities in western China, boosting intercity relationships and industrial & financial exchange.
The East Railway Station is located in the southeast corner of Xi'an City, adjacent to Qujiang New District. Its prime geographical position benefits from "two highlands and one river", allowing the introduction of water from the Whale Ditch into the site to establish a wetland park, thereby connecting the east and west through an eco-friendly green belt. In conjunction with the sustainable landscaping, the site will be highly connected in terms of public infrastructure, with Metro line 15 running through the centre and dissection the area into 3 distinctive TOD zones, targeting hub for public transit, waterfront culture & tourism, and ecological sci-tech research.
