Tongzhou Barbican Museum & Public Service Center Design

The project started with the excavation of the ancient ruins buried in the underground during the excavation of the subway, so the project land was changed from commercial to urban green space. Public project.

The design plan restores the original site of the city wall, and creates a sunken cultural square on the historical elevation where the city wall is located, which can not only meet the needs of people to rest and hold events, but also facilitate people to take the subway. The museum built around the ruins becomes the square's view, showing Tongzhou's cultural heritage to pedestrians.

The design scheme compresses unnecessary functions and development scale as much as possible to satisfy a large number of real soil greening to plant tall trees and create green space. At the same time, the project reserves a certain square space on the ground floor of the first floor and the negative floor, providing a good environment and meeting the needs of peak flow and distribution. The project is also equipped with sufficient motor vehicles, bicycle parking spaces and advanced bicycle parking systems, and advocates green travel methods.
