Xi'an East Railway Station is one of the largest railway stations in China under planning. It is an important hub of the Baotou Line of the eight vertical and eight horizontal strategy. When completed, it will shorten the space-time distance between Xi'an and the western core cities, and strengthen the inter city trade and industrial complementarity in the western region.

The East Railway Station is located in the southeast corner of Xi'an City, adjacent to Qujiang New Area. The project plan inherits the environmental advantages of "two highlands and one river", introduces the water of Whale Ditch into the base, establishes a wetland park, and connects the east and west green veins. It is planned that metro line 15 will run through the site, and three distinctive TOD core areas will be built around three stations, including hub core, waterfront culture and tourism, and ecological science and technology innovation.

The base is connected to the southeast third ring road in the north, and there is a high-speed pass around the city. It is planned that the three lines of Metro Lines 5, 13, and 15 will be transferred at the same station of East Station, and contact the East Station area and Xi'an urban area. As a multi-transport interchange center, the East Station Transportation Hub brings together a variety of transportation modes such as high-speed rail, subway, bus, long-distance bus, rental, network car, private car and non-motorized vehicles. The subway is located under the square in front of East Station, which can effectively use the radius of the subway service to enhance the vitality of the surrounding land and form an urban comprehensive transportation hub centered on high-speed rail and subway.

The 800-meter pedestrian circle centered on the subway hub will gather culture, shopping, inter-city commerce, hotels, and tourism origins to form a high-density mixed city core area. In addition to convenient and convenient transportation organizations, the core area will also build a multi-level Vertical walking system that connects surrounding plots and shunts crowds through multiple levels on the ground, ground, and underground, and efficiently serves the East High-speed Railway Station and surrounding citizens.
