The transportation terminal is the focal point of the Xi’an East Station planning. As a multi-functional transfer hub, it brings together rail, metro, bus, coach, taxi, private/ online ride-hailing car and bike services. Proposed metro line 5, 13 and 15 will converge on this station and link the planning area to the other parts of Xi’an city.

The transfer hall of the metro locates under the front square of the East Station. It relatively reduces the transfer distance and meaningfully enhance the vitality of the surrounding area. Except for the public transportation, the core area will also build a multi-layered pedestrian system­ which links the surrounding parcels on, above and below the ground, serving both the passengers and the citizens. The half-mile-radius walkable district around the station will gather cultural, commercial, intercity business, hospitality and tourism, making the core area convenient and highly efficient.
