Among all the planned metro depots, Huanyuan Middle Road parking depot is the closet one to Xi'an city center. It is located west of the Bahe River, within the Third Ring Road, and less than 5 kilometers away from Xi'an Old City. The site includes three parcels and between two of them located a line 10 metro station—Huanyuan Middle Road Station.

The project utilizes the roof of the depot as its sky garden. Five traffic cores are set up for vertical circulation, and two ring corridors are built to make the sky garden a pure walking system.

The east ring is the educational core, which includes one primary school and one kindergarten. These high-quality international schools serve to not only the site but also the surrounding communities. The west ring is the focal point of the project, around it is the multi-level retail street, where people from different levels are guided by the walkways and escalators, their movements blur the boundaries between the metro station, the sunken plaza and the underground retail street. The retail street also enriches nearby communities with many services, such as shopping, leisure, food and beverage, family activities, etc.
